Transitional Shelter for Men

Luke’s House has brought Warmth & Safety to many Single Men

Loaves and Fishes Ministries transitional sheltering program for men is called Luke’s House. Transitional sheltering means 24/7 longer term housing that offers the opportunity for residents to get the job training and experience, education and other long-term solutions needed to be able to secure and keep permanent housing.

Luke’s House is a fully furnished home that can house up to 3 men. Each man has his own private bedroom. Residents share a bathroom, kitchen, living and storage space. Luke’s house is an alcohol and drug free environment and limited visitors are allowed. Luke’s House residents must be working, in school, or be participating in, or applying for job availability through Work First at Capital Area Michigan Works – https://www.michiganworks.org/.

Guests at our transitional houses pay a nominal monthly program fee that covers just a fraction of the services we offer to them. This helps teach the guests money management and accountability, as well as helps them with budgeting and feeling a part of their service plan, as they prepare to move into their own housing.

How to Apply:

Men must stay at Loaves and Fishes Overnight Shelter for 2 weeks prior to being eligible to apply for Luke’s House. Call Loaves and Fishes Ministries at 517-482-2099 for more information.
